Large urchin form, deep turquoise blue 25x21x12cm. Porcelain, coiled and heavily textured with rippling lines that contour around the form. Indented at the centre and perforated with tiny holes reminiscent of sea potato urchin shells that are found along the Northumbrian beaches. The colour is richly layered and applied to the surface repeatedly and washed back to reveal the unique markings then sealed with wax.
